Call for Shadowbox Translations

Hello all! It has been quite a while since I’ve posted anything here. I’ve been spending most of my free time improving Shadowbox instead of writing new blog material.
Due to popular demand, the next version of Shadowbox will have much improved i18n support (among other improvements). However, unfortunately I’m only fluent in 1.5 languages (English and some Italian), so I need your help. If you would like Shadowbox translated into your native tongue, please translate the following object and post it here or send it to me.

@Alex: Keyboard shortcuts vary too much from language to language. Instead of using letters for shortcuts, Shadowbox2 will rely on more standard keys for navigation. That way, whenever you go to a website that may be in a different language, and you see Shadowbox, you already know how to use it.
I took this cue from some of the most popular applications that I use. None of them use actual words on the interface. They just use icons.
@mas: No translation for the word “of”?
The previous german translation seems a bit laborious to me and contains also a few errors.
Matthias, “Schliessen” wird nach wie vor “Schließen” geschrieben, auch nach der Rechtschreibreform. Weiterhin ist es falsch zu sagen “sowohl wie auch”. Richtig ist “sowohl als auch”. Sofern es ein deutsches Wort gibt, sollte man dieses auch verwenden (statt “plugin” könnte “Erweiterung” verwendet werden).
Here is my suggestion:
@mjijackson: every (win) app use letter shortcut keys… But you must press ‘alt’ and that key… But I aggree with you. Using arrows (or even page up/down) to browse and escape to close is enough IMHO.
I hope that changing the strings in the new version will be easy. I mean if I don’t like a translation, I can implement mine…

I’m Dutch (48 years and counting :) and have a few comments regarding the Dutch translations given here:
Since most devices (like a stereo) have English names on/over the keys, most Dutch are used to seeing things like “Play”.
But the correct translation in real Dutch would be: play: Afspelen
And the following translations would be better like this: close: Sluit (because the earlier given “Sluiten” means “closing”) cancel: Annuleer (because the earlier given “Annuleren” means “canceling”)

can you tell me how to use this translation?
Turkish translation;
In Turkish we don’t use the word ‘of’ to seperate the current page and total pages. Instead, we use a slash ‘ / ‘ with spaces on both sides. But if you plan to use the word ‘of’ for its real meaning, then it has two usages ‘nın’ and ‘nin’, which depends on the word that you use before ‘of’ (kinda complicated, I know). Let’s stick to ‘ / ‘ :)

Hi, great project you have here!! I love it, I’m looking at using it for my new portfolio page. When do you think the timeframe for the new release would be? Will it fix the problem with Firefox and the opening sequence? (jagged elements in the faded background while black box is opening)

In Switzerland we don’t have the “ß”, we only use “ss”. I think also “weiter” and “zurück” matches better “next” and “previous”

Hi, the swedish translation looks good except for the errors. “Pluginet” is not a valid word, but rather some kind of mixture of swedish and english. The correct translation is “insticksprogram”. My suggestion therefore is:
